It’s a pity that defensive metric values were not appreciated as much during most of his career as they are now. Then maybe he might have gotten the respect he deserved. The phrase “poetry in motion” runs through my mind when I think of Cammy. I thank him for entertaining me and wish him well in what ever may come next.

I believe it was Keith Law who said recently if the 2010 draft was done over again he’d be a consensus top 10 pick. It is so nice to have competent people in charge these days.

I haven’t paid much attention to Capps to this point, but given the team’s pitcher scouting ability he might turn out to be worth more than nothing.
