The day is getting closer and closer regarding the verdict of Richard Sherman’s PED case.
NFL Network’s Dan Hanzus confirmed that Sherman’s appeal for his four-game suspension for Adderrall will be heard this Friday.
Sherman and Brandon Browner were both hit with four-game suspensions in November. Browner appealed, however he changed his mind and began serving his ban in week 14. Browner is eligible to return to the Seahawks for the start of the postseason.
Sherman insists he’s done nothing wrong, he told Yahoo! Sports last week, “at the end of the day it’ll get worked out fine.” Reports from USA Today said Sherman drank water from a teammates bottle; not being aware there was a crushed Adderall pill in it.
If the appeal leads to a swift decision, Sherman and Browner will be out of the starting defensive lineup this Sunday night when the Seahawks play the 49ers.
You have to wonder if Sherman should have done the same thing Browner did, because it’s a possibility Sherman will miss the playoffs if the Seahawks qualify. Sherman is confident he will win the appeal though. The 12th Man, the organization of the Seahawks, and the defense better hope he’s right!
