Chris Clemons Signs New Deal with Seattle, Won’t Miss Training Camp

Mike Sando of ESPN is reporting that the Seahawks have reached an agreement with DE Chris Clemons, who missed all of Seattle’s off-season workouts due to a holdout.

The terms have not yet been disclosed, but it’s being reported that Clemons will not miss out on $1 million in workout and roster bonuses that he would not have been entitled to after missing the off-season practices.

Obviously, this is huge news for Seattle. Clemons has had two back-to-back double-digit sack seasons, and having him back to start at defensive end will allow rookie Bruce Irvin to settle into a third defensive end role where he can come in for obvious passing downs, much like Raheem Brock did in the previous two seasons for the Hawks.
